An Post Warns of  Post Office Disruption

5 March 2002

Services may be disrupted by unofficial industrial action, in pursuit of a re-grading and pay restructuring claim, by An Post post office clerks, who are members of the Communications Workers Union (CWU).

Discussions between the company and the CWU broke down when the union withdrew from the process. An Post last week asked the Labour Relations Commission to intervene to assist the parties to the dispute.

The company apologises for any inconvenience caused by the CWU action.
